Chris Bach and Cat Pham are creating four "Frames" that viewers can look through that will display moments of interest throughout the corridor.

Ted Brusubardis

Ted Brusubardis' "Landscape" includes sound and video and will have a reflective aspect. There will be projections on either side of Water Street at the North End and The Flatiron at night for six weekends. This is toward the north edge of the Park East.

"cede" Project

Annushka Peck Project



Annushka Peck's "cede" focuses on mapping. A billboard map with cutout elements will be reflected on the Laacke & Joys boathouse wall across the street on Water Street.

Kasia Drake

"Uniting the Fence" Project

August 23rd - September 23rd


Kasia Drake Project



Kasia Drake, for "Uniting the Fence," will be asking the community to come together to make art by using fabric to alter a long chain-link fence starting on the corner of Water and Knapp. The fence will be latched on three Saturdays: July 18 and 25 and August 1, from 1-5. For groups or individuals interested in volunteering, please contact Drake at kadrake@gmail.com.

"Disinterment" Project

August 23rd - 30th


Gresl Project



Gary John Gresl will be working directly with the land for "Disinterment." Along Broadway he will create a faux archeological dig with grids that will allow him to exhibit history and "deep time" using assemblage as a key component. Muralist Reynaldo Hernandez will enhance one of the grid squares.

"Water Source" Project

Mary Osmundsen and Maria Bolivar's "Water Source" at the Knapp Street Bridge House is a site-specific response to the bridge house and the Milwaukee River. It will include community involvement and have a web component.

Armando Gallegos' "Desire, Luxury, Showmanship" on top of a warehouse on 3rd and McKinley juxtaposes an 8' high collaged image of Liberace with a photograph Gallegos took in 2003 of the Park East spur coming down.

Paul Druecke's project, "Guide," appropriates the names of Milwaukee landmarks to create an homage to the persistent, yet fickle need that humans have to memorialize.

"Park East Souvenir Stand" Project, "Tours" Project, and "Sunset Theater" Project

July 24th - August 28th


Sarah Luther Project



Sarah Luther's three performative projects will take people throughout the Park East. She is constructing a mobile souvenir stand with artifacts collected from the corridor. She is also organizing a series of tours for August. July 25 (7:30-8:30) and August 28 (6:45-7:45) there will be a free Sunset Theater for people to experience the panoramic landscape accompanied by a live string ensemble. Please ensemble on Jefferson Street between Lyon and Ogden.

"Park East Information Center and Museum" Project

August 23rd - 30th




Neil Gasparka is curating an IN:SITE Park East Information Center and Museum inside the first floor of Sydney Hih at 300 W. Juneau August 23-30. The center will have maps so people can find all the installations. The museum will be focused on the Park East Corridor over time, including photographs by members of the Coalition of Photographic Arts and Sydney Hih artifacts.

Molly Noyes and Natalie LeRoy Project



Molly Noyes and Natalie LeRoy's "Park East Corridor Property Company" will be located in Sidney Hih. The team will be selling miniature condominium property models constructed inside bakery boxes.
